Reddit hytale11/7/2022 My last point is, how could we fix that before the frustration of 2023 when they'll say the first public build will be released by 2025? Well, as you guys saw, the creativity appeal of Hytale grouped up a lot of great artists and programmers, would it be hard to group a team to develop another game with the points that made we love hytale in the original trailer? I don't even believe anymore that Hytale will ever have what we expected from creativity tools. Without players playing, modding, and giving inputs, they dont know how their player base thinks and, to me at least, it will guide hytale to a tragic death. I think they're taking decisions that aren't aligned with what the community loved on the first trailer and what made them become famous and get investment. Now imagine a game that promised to have in-game scripting, advanced modding, advanced level editor and all the other creative tools shown in the trailer, how could this work on a console? The game is either gonna be limited due to console adjustments and major features will be cut, or we'll have inconsistency between platform experiences, which is a bad idea as well. #Reddit hytale PcSo my point is: "minecraft like" sandboxes are nothing without community creations and inputs, this is why they're making decisions that doesn't make sense to us, like creating a mobile/console version, everyone that played minecraft in mobile/console knows it could NEVER be as great as the PC version due to control/touch limitations that are not that compatible with the gameplay. #Reddit hytale softwareI work as a software developer for years and know exactly how A/B tests, user research and beta tests are important to make data driven decisions, without that, every major decision is hard to make and a step in the shadow. This is my major concern about hytale development plan, they show us major features that doesn't even need to be on an alpha, like a human-like AI and complex ambient sound system, but no one have ever played anything, not even an "engine test" or something, all these features could be prioritized later, after a public beta. While it might appear to be a Minecraft-like complete with blocky construction and survival mechanics, it offers so much more, allowing players to create. That's the history of minecraft, it was created by Notch with almost no money involved, public since alpha and most of the things we have today were guided by community inputs, most of the "minecraft 2" promising clones died because they, trying to bring new complex features, like the "no blocks world" of Lords of Umberdark, forgot about the community. Sandbox games like Minecraft are known as "community guided" games, it means the game itself is molded as the community plays and creates new things using the game almost like just an engine. is a brand new Hytale Forums created for Hytale fans. It's probably an unpopular opinion, but I think all this journey will lead us for a canceled or frustrating game, let me explain.
